SAIT | Cyber Range
The challenge with this project for SAIT’s new Cyber Range facility, was to create a promotional video that felt like a feature film trailer.
Cyber Range follows a Black Hat hacker gaining access to a large holdings company database in order to disrupt and take control of the system. A team of expert White Hat cyber range operators assist a federal investigation in a race against time to find the source of the breach.
Utilizing a limited number of locations, and concise pieces of dialogue, we were able to convey a story and world that was seemingly much bigger than the short run time.
Each character written with a deep authenticity and complexity that made the stakes feel even higher in this crime thriller.
Guns of Purgatory
Guns of Purgatory is a gritty short film that takes place in 1876 Post-Civil War America. Following a group of nefarious characters as they seek vengeance for atrocities committed against them.
From production design, through to costuming and props, our large scale production team did substantial research throughout each detail to ensure time period accuracy, while providing a visceral experience for the audience.
Intense action sequences involving different forms of combat, are interwoven throughout this emotional journey. Pulling people into the harsh realities of the unforgiving American West.
Children’s Wish Foundation | One Wish
This series of short form documentaries for the Children’s Wish Foundation focussed on whimsy and triumph in the midst of heartbreak and adversity.
We wanted to inform the audience of what these families had been through, without getting lost in sorrow.
We worked to create an environment for the kids to experience something new and exciting much like their wishes that were granted by the Children’s Wish Foundation. Empowering them to tell their own stories, while reminding us all that they are not defined by their illnesses.
Reuben and the Dark | Bow and Arrow
This narrative music video project for Reuben and the Dark follows the story of a young boy and his father as they try to cope with the loss of a loved one.
Unable to use dialogue, due to the nature of being a music video; we used large set pieces, and visual metaphor to communicate our personal themes of grief, forgiveness, and healing.
Working extensively with our talent, we were able to draw out authentic moments between them as well as the inner turmoil they were facing on their individual journeys.
Zaac Pick | Constellations
This music video for Zaac Pick’s Constellations was an exercise in restraint, and resourcefulness.
A failed shuttle launch leaves an early cosmonaut stranded amongst the unknown. His family at home grapples the significance of exploring the outer limits of space, and the chance that they may never be together again.
With very limited resources we were able to simulate a shuttle crash through focussing on the emotional consequence of the story. A lot of the action being implied through the responses of the characters.
